Is it me, or are we all having a lot more fun on game night this year? I guess there is a lot more to be happy about this year with such an entertaining team on the ice. Steve has our boys playing some of the best hockey I have seen in a long time, I actually miss playing more than ever because this group of guys looks like they are having such a good time, I wish I could be a part of it.
I have to tip my hat to my off ice team as well because I would put them as my MVP’s so far this season. We all sat down and had so many ideas of what we wanted to achieve on game nights this year and one thing kept coming up. We need to have fun. If we are having a good time, then you must be having a good time so we thought long and hard about what people would like and what makes people happy.
Free Stuff.
That’s the key, give away loads of free stuff and everyone will be happy. If you can make that free stuff fly through the air, even better. Okay, I know that our on ice performance has made a world of difference this year, but I think the whole game night experience is fantastic. I’m up in the booth with Matt McIvor on game nights and we are laughing our heads off when we see the fans screaming for flying Subway Subs or going crazy when the Slice Pizza gets delivered.
One of the best new promos this year has to be the Laser Electrical TV give away, which has been a massive success but no matter what it is, free Steak, music, t-shirts, subs, tv’s, thundersticks, foam hands, whatever we have got, it seems to be going over well.
Our supporters have restored my faith in hockey fans, so for that I thank you. You all have been fantastic this season, actually you have been over the top fantastic, loud, boisterous and I would even use the word crazy at times, but I would be too if I had the chance to catch a flying sandwich.
Long may it continue and if the guys keep playing the way they have been, I think we will all have plenty to cheer about this season.
See you at the games,
