Jake Gaudet Re-Signs With Belfast Giants for 2026/27 Season
The Belfast Giants are pleased to confirm the return of 29-year-old forward Jake Gaudet for the 2026/27 season.
Ottawa-born Gaudet will play his second season in Belfast following a successful first campaign, during which he contributed 46 total points in 69 games in all competitions. Before arriving in Belfast, the 6’2” centre spent five years icing for teams across the AHL and ECHL, including the Cleveland Monsters, Kalamazoo Wings, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Providence Bruins, notching 49 total points in 129 games.
Adam Keefe, Head Coach of the Belfast Giants, said: “We’re pleased to have retained Jake for another season. He was a solid contributor on the scoresheet and someone who immediately bought into our culture and expectations of success. Adding Jake’s name to our already impressive lineup of forwards is a great boost, and I don’t doubt he’ll continue to play a big role in this team next season.”
Before turning professional, Gaudet had a successful NCAA career, playing four seasons with the University of Massachusetts between 2017 and 2021. Named captain for his senior year, Gaudet recorded 53 total points in 124 appearances, leading the Minutemen during their historic run to the 2021 NCAA National Championship.
Commenting on re-signing with the Belfast Giants for the 2026/27 season, Jake Gaudet said: "It was an easy decision to come back to Belfast, and I'm already looking forward to another season of Giants' hockey. While we were pleased to walk away with the Elite League title last year, we wanted more, so the opportunity to go after all three trophies again is an exciting prospect. Without question, the Teal Army are the best fans around, so the chance to play in front of a packed-out building is something I can't wait to get back to."
2026/27 Belfast Giants season tickets are on sale for a limited time only, with the full schedule of Elite League and Challenge Cup fixtures expected soon. For more information or to secure your seat ahead of the new campaign, click here.
