As part of the Giants Companies That Care Initiative, Denmark Street Youth Club was visited by Sean ‘The Sheriff’ McMorrow of the LBM Belfast Giants.
The ice hockey star met with young people from the Shankill area and spent some time speaking with them about how he got involved in ice hockey, the personal choices he made to stay in school and do positive things he enjoyed no matter what the obstacles. He answered question about what it’s like being a Belfast Giant, and the importance of using your gifts and talents to reach your full potential in life.
“I really enjoyed the visit. The centre is a great community resource and they are a great group of young people.” Sean finished the night by signing autographs and giving the young people some complimentary tickets, courtesy of Stenaline, to come along to a game in February.
