Mark 'Mo Train' Morrison is one of the most popular local Belfast born players, both with his teammates and the Odyssey faithful. A home grown talent that has improved by leaps and bounds since his first year with the Giants, Morrison was snapped up along with Chris McGimpsey, Graeme Walton and Gareth Martin after impressing then coach Rob Stewart at an open training session in 2003. Mark has gotten better and better in every game and his never say die attitude and non-stop hard work in each game helped him to the Nixx Giants Supporters Club 'Player of the Year' Award in his inaugural season.
This year Mark was honoured when Courtenay choose him as an assistant captain making him the first homegrown player to wear the 'A' on his jersey. No other player on the Giants roster can compete with Mark's speed on the ice as he tirelessly harasses the opposition from one end of the rink to the other every time he takes to the ice.
