Biography
First arriving in Belfast for the 2019/20 season, 33-year-old Goodwin has become a respected and beloved figure in Belfast, playing a major role in the club’s success. A former captain, Goodwin led the Giants during their incredible treble-winning 2022/23 season, helping guide the club to the Challenge Cup, Elite League title, and Playoff Championship. In a professional career, Goodwin has also garnered experience with teams from North America, Finland, Sweden, and Poland.
Having departed for Spanish side CH Jaca after the 2022/23 season, the St. Louis-born forward re-joined the Giants midway through the 2023/24 season, recording 28 total points in 31 games.
During the 2024/25 season, Goodwin remained a key contributor on and off the ice. Whether producing in critical situations or setting the tone with his intensity and consistency, Goodwin once again proved why he’s regarded as one of the most reliable two-way forwards in the Elite League.
