Ryan Crane was signed as the Giants’ 11th import yet Head Coach Doug Christiansen acknowledges that Crane has a big role to play on this year’s team: “Ryan is going to push players every day in training and he will be ready to jump in when he is given the opportunity.”

The 6-foot Canadian from Mississauga, Ontario, is an adaptable and versatile player as he can be relied on to sub in on both the defensive line and the forward line. Showing that he can be a star at the Elite League level, 3 seasons ago with the Edinburgh Capitals he led the team’s defensemen in scoring with 13 goals and 50 points in 54 games. That year was followed by stints in Denmark, North America in the Central League and East Coast League, and most recently in the Netherlands with the Geleen Smoke Eaters with Crane scoring 7 goals and 20 points in 23 games.
