27 year-old defenseman James Hutchinson arrives in Belfast after a successful year playing with the Peterborough Phantoms in the English Premier Ice Hockey League where he was an assistant captain. He has spent most of his career in both the EIHL and the EPIHL and most recently with the Phantoms notched an impressive 44 points including 6 goals and 38 assists.

Hailing from Tynemouth, Hutchinson has represented Great Britain on the world stage several times and as another player of international calibre on the Giants’ roster he will prove to be a valuable contributor to the defensive lineup – providing both depth and energy to a very physical blueline.
