28-year-old centreman, Oliver Cooper hits the ice in Belfast off the back of three seasons with ECHL side, Fort Wayne Komets where he notched up 39 goals and 49 assists, good for 88 points in 127 games across all three seasons and added silverware to his accolades in 2020/21 as the side became ECHL Kelly Cup Champions.
Last season with the Fort Wayne Komets, Cooper iced on loan for eight games with American Hockey League (AHL) side Chicago Wolves; the former affiliate club of National Hockey League’s (NHL) Carolina Hurricanes and five-time Calder Cup champions.
Oliver will don the #17 teal jersey for the upcoming 2023/24 season with the Giants.
