The O2 Belfast and Heineken Ireland Celebrate Extended Pouring Rights Partnership with Launch of Refurbished VIP Lounge
The O2 Belfast is proud to announce an extended arena partnership with HEINEKEN Ireland, which will see the world-famous beer and cider brand return as the official pouring rights of Northern Ireland’s premier live entertainment destination until 2031.
Having worked together in partnership since 2014, the five-year extension will see HEINEKEN Ireland’s portfolio of drinks available, with brands including Heineken, Heineken 0.0, Birra Moretti, Orchard Thieves and Served, Ready To Drinks (RTDs) brand continued to be served at bars throughout The O2 Belfast at all concerts, events, and Belfast Giants home games.
Further cementing the experience-focused collaboration is the refurbishment and relaunch of the Heineken Lounge – formerly known as the Heineken Green Room. The extensive works, which form part of a significant programme of investment and development across the venue, has seen a major transformation to one of the Arena’s most premium hospitality spaces.
Dermot McGinn, Group Head of Food and Beverage at The Odyssey Trust, said: “We are incredibly proud to be continuing our longstanding relationship with Heineken and United Wines. It’s rare to work with a brand that so closely mirrors your commitment to excellence and providing the best experience every time, but with Heineken, that’s been something that’s been apparent from the outset. Relaunching the new-look Heineken Lounge is the perfect way to celebrate the renewed partnership, and I look forward to continuing working together for a further five years.”
Featuring a revamped seating configuration, restaurant-style furniture, and all-new lighting installations, the Heineken Lounge offers a luxurious evening of premium hospitality followed by quality live entertainment with a panoramic view of the arena bowl from a private balcony. Tickets for the Heineken Lounge also include fast-track entry, access to private bar facilities throughout the evening, a concierge cloakroom, luxury bathroom facilities, and a two-course meal.
Martin McCauley, Managing Director of United Wines Merchant said: “HEINEKEN Ireland and United Wines are delighted to renew this agreement as we continue to work alongside The Odyssey Trust and The O2 Belfast. Over many years, we have built a strong partnership founded on a shared commitment to delivering exceptional experiences and high-quality brands for the venue’s audiences.”
Fiona Curtin, Marketing Director of HEINEKEN Ireland said: “The O2 Belfast is one of Northern Ireland’s premier live entertainment destinations, and we are delighted to extend our partnership for a further five years.
