Giants Confirm Signing of Patrick Grasso for 2025/26 Season

The Belfast Giants are pleased to confirm the signing of 29-year-old forward Patrick Grasso for the 2025/26 season.
From Des Moines, Iowa, Grasso arrives in Belfast following a successful first season in Europe, during which he notched more than 45 combined appearances for Austrian side HC Innsbruck and Västerås IK of the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan. Prior to playing in Europe, Grasso spent time in the AHL and ECHL, icing for the Utica Comets, Adirondack Thunder, and Cleveland Monsters between 2021 and 2024.
Adam Keefe, Head Coach of the Belfast Giants, said: “We’re really excited to bring Patrick to Belfast. He's a high energy player with great offensive instincts and a strong work ethic. He's proven that he can produce at a high level and put the puck in the net. We believe he'll be a key contributor for us this season."
Before turning pro, Grasso boasted a successful collegiate career with the University of New Hampshire. Across five seasons, the final two of which he was appointed as one of the team’s alternate captains, Grasso recorded 97 total points in 138 games, and was also part of the New Hampshire Wildcats side that took part in the 2019 Friendship Four at The SSE Arena, Belfast.
Commenting on signing with the Belfast Giants, Patrick Grasso said: “I’m excited to join the Giants. From everything I’ve heard and seen, this is a team with a rich history and a passionate fanbase that truly supports its players. This opportunity means a lot to me, and I’m committed to working hard every day to help the Giants compete for championships. I can’t wait to get started, meet my new teammates, and experience everything that comes with playing in Belfast.”
