Mike Lee Re-Signs for 2025/26 Season

The 29-year-old made a strong impression during his first season in Belfast, playing a key role on the Giants’ blue line throughout the 2024/25 campaign. A composed, mobile defenceman with a left-handed shot, Lee contributed in all situations and was a consistent performer at both ends of the ice.

With his ability to move the puck efficiently, break up plays in transition, and lead the power play, Lee quickly became a trusted presence within the Giants’ defensive core. His return brings stability, experience, and calm leadership that will be vital heading into the new season.

Adam Keefe, Head Coach of the Belfast Giants, said: “Mike came in last year and proved himself to be a really dependable defenceman for us. He plays a smart, composed game, bringing a lot of poise to our back end. Having him return gives us a strong foundation to build from, and we’re looking forward to seeing him to continue to lead by example.”

Throughout last season, Lee’s versatility and high hockey IQ made him a valuable asset across the board — from logging heavy minutes to stepping up in key moments. His professional attitude and steady presence also earned him the respect of both teammates and supporters.
