The Odyssey Trust and Local Artist Keith Drury Team Up For Hospice Hockey Charity Ice Hockey Game

Formed as part of The Odyssey Trust’s 25th anniversary celebrations and inspired by the likes of Soccer Aid, Hospice Hockey aims to raise £100,000 for Northern Ireland Hospice. With Ciaran Bartlett, Leah McCourt, Kerri Quinn, Petr Cech, and Owen Nolan already confirmed to be taking part, and plenty more exciting announcements to come, Hospice Hockey will bring together current and former ice hockey players, local legends, and celebrities for an evening of thrilling on-ice action, live entertainment, and community spirit.

Renowned for his vibrant and intricate artworks, Keith Drury presents a contemporary interpretation of urban landscapes, and his work has gained international recognition, including a commission of footballing legend, Pelé, and a piece, ‘London Way’, for Anne, Princess Royal. For the two Hospice Hockey jerseys and limited-edition print, Keith has incorporated additional elements into his iconic ‘Belfast Bay’ scene, including the puck sculpture at The SSE Arena, a Zamboni, Belfast Giants players, and supporters donning merchandise featuring the club’s 25th season logomark, and aptly titled the design ‘Giants Bay’.

Keith’s passion for the city and his unique artistic style brings something truly special to both the jerseys and the bespoke print created for this event. It’s a powerful way to honour the cause, celebrate our community, and support Northern Ireland Hospice through ice hockey.”

Over the years, Keith's 'When I Dream' series has found its way into every continent across the globe and has also appeared in BBC dramas such as ‘The Fall’. His gallery on the Belmont Road, East Belfast, showcases his detailed, time-intensive pieces.

Commenting on the collaboration, Keith Drury said: “It has been a pleasure to be involved with The Odyssey Trust to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The designer jerseys and special edition artwork feature my signature style, along with quirky embellishments, including a duck on skates! Partnering with The Odyssey Trust to raise funds through Hospice Hockey has been a privilege and demonstrates that the organisation is a real ambassador for good in Northern Ireland.”

The purple Hospice Hockey jersey is available to order now, here. Order yours by Sunday 11 May for arrival in time for the Hospice Hockey game (collection only). After this date, delivery will be available but arrival by the game is not guaranteed. Jerseys are available in the sublimated version only, and can be blank or customised in adults and kids sizing.
