The Friendship Four has become one of the great traditions in any college hockey season. Four men’s hockey teams from the NCAA Division One ranks cross the Atlantic and descend on The SSE Arena, Belfast for a chance to win the Belpot Trophy. This year’s event is the first time the Friendship Four will feature teams from Atlantic Hockey America and the NCHC.

Union Garnet Chargers
Winners of the 2014 NCAA National Championship, the Union College Garnet Chargers know how to perform on the biggest stage. Competing in the always-tough ECAC Hockey, Union teams are built on structure and discipline, however, they’re far from predictable. With an exciting roster that combines proven veterans and dynamic fresh faces, Union brings a smart technical game that rewards patience and precision.
Miami RedHawks
The Miami RedHawks bring top-tier pedigree to this year’s tournament. Competing in the powerhouse National Collegiate Hockey Conference, Miami face some of the best teams in North America week in and week out, and that experience showcases their speed and skill. The programme has a proud history of producing NHL talent, from Dan Boyle to Alec Martinez, and their current roster continues a proud tradition of flair and competitiveness.
RIT Tigers
The RIT Tigers arrive in Belfast as one of the most consistent programmes in Atlantic Hockey. Fresh off another strong season and known for their all-action style, the Tigers combine discipline and a never-quit mentality that makes them a formidable opponent. With several conference titles in recent years and a reputation for developing NHL-ready talent, RIT know what it takes to win big games. Expect energy, physicality, and a team that plays with purpose from the first puck drop.
Sacred Heart Pioneers
The Sacred Heart Pioneers are a programme on the rise. Under head coach C.J. Marottolo, they’ve become one of the most exciting teams in Atlantic Hockey – known for being fearless and relentless on the forecheck. Sacred Heart has produced a growing list of professional players, including Justin Danforth of the Buffalo Sabres, and they’ll arrive in Belfast determined to make their mark.
