GLL are a not-for-profit charitable social enterprise who are dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, lifestyle, and general happiness of the communities which they service. GLL operates 16 leisure facilities across the greater Belfast area under its 'Better' brand. Their modern, state-of-the-art facilities provide a great range of services, all at an accessible price for anyone looking to better their health and lifestyle.
As the returning official gym partner for the Belfast Giants, Better will remain as the go-to place for the team at their locations across Belfast to complete their strength and conditioning training this season, and throughout the race for championship titles.
Adam Keefe, head coach, Belfast Giants, commented on the sponsorship renewal: “Strength and conditioning training off the ice is key to a strong performance on the ice, so having a gym partner like Better is vital to the success of our team, as proven last season. We’re very excited to continue this partnership as the Better facilities have top of the range equipment, and services for our players to succeed.”
Gareth Kirk, regional director of GLL, said: “Last season’s success was the perfect end to our first year as official gym partner to the Belfast Giants. Seeing the team regularly train in our gyms and pools, recover after games in our spa and enjoy some well earned down time trying out some new sports was a great testimony to the first-class facilities we offer in Belfast. We welcome their return to Belfast and wish them good luck for the coming season.”
Over the course of the season the Belfast Giants will visit Better leisure centre and gyms across the city to make use of their top class facilities and engage with local communities, in order to promote a healthy lifestyle.
