Beattie, Hamill, and Mitchell-King Return to Belfast on Two-Way Agreements

The Belfast Giants are pleased to confirm the re-signings of Kell Beattie, Carter Hamill, and Rhodes Mitchell-King on two-way agreements for the 2025/26 season.
Beattie and Hamill will continue their dual registration with Solway Sharks, while Mitchell-King returns in partnership with Telford Tigers. The trio spent the majority of last season developing with their NIHL clubs but remain part of the Giants’ extended roster and will take part in this season’s pre-season training camp in Belfast.
Both Kell Beattie and Carter Hamill are proud Belfast natives and products of the Junior Giants hockey system, continuing their progression through the ranks of the sport in Northern Ireland. Rhodes Mitchell-King, a promising defenceman, re-joins the organisation having previously captained Great Britain at the IIHF U20 World Junior Championships in 2023/24.
Adam Keefe, Head Coach of the Belfast Giants, said: “It’s great to have Kell, Carter, and Rhodes back in the fold for the new season. They’ve each shown a lot of promise and these two-way agreements allow them to continue getting valuable minutes with their NIHL clubs while staying connected to our set-up. We’re looking forward to having them in camp, continuing their development, and seeing how they push on this year.”
Beattie, Hamill, and Mitchell-King’s returns follow confirmation of the Giants’ involvement in NHL Street Hockey pilot, a new free programme designed to introduce more young people to hockey. The initiative, which forms part of Ice Hockey UK’s 2024-2030 strategy, will provide fun, accessible, and inclusive opportunities for children to experience hockey and learn the fundamental skills of the sport, fit for newcomers and fans alike.
