Founded in 2000, the Belfast Giants are the first and only professional ice hockey club on the island of Ireland, welcoming more than 240,000 spectators to The SSE Arena, Belfast every season.
Playing in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), the Giants have won 18 major championships since their inception, including the first domestic treble - Challenge Cup, Elite League, and Elite League Playoffs - in the club's history in the 2022/23 season.
With an average attendance of more than 6,000 per game, the Giants have brought high-energy ice hockey to millions of spectators over two-and-a-half decades, creating unforgettable memories and making a list impact within local communities.
Our Identity
2021 marked the beginning of a new era as the Giants unveiled a new brand to mark their return to action following 18 months away from the ice.
Wordmark
The BELFAST type mirrors the arc roof of The SSE Arena – home of the Belfast Giants and The Bridge that overlooks our home ice. As we look to the future, we haven’t forgotten our past. In a nod to the Celtic styling of the original Belfast Giants logo, there’s a subtle decorative stroke and angled cuts in our new wordmark and brand font.
Our Colours
TEAL – We are the Teal Army! Our strong teal reflects how far we’ve come.
WHITE – Our away jersey colour, white, lets our other colours breathe.
BLACK – Introducing Causeway Black, inspired by the bold and rugged landscapes of the land of Giants.
RED – Finn McCool’s red warrior mark represents strength and determination.
GOLD – Symbolising a higher standard, our rich history of championship wins and future success.
Our Logo
Finn McCool is a Giant Reborn.
We’ve kept the best bits of our original and alternate logos to create a fresh look that pays homage to our history, while looking to the future and the club we want to be tomorrow.
Following the club's rebrand, we enhanced Finn's golden locks and angular jaw, as well as added his signature warrior mark and a grimace, ready for battle.
In a digital-first age, our new brand is rooted in history but fit for the future.
