Dundee Double In First

The Giants broke the deadlock after only five minutes when Jordan Smotherman’s perfect pass from the corner to David Goodwin allowed the forward to round the Dundee defenceman and slot home.

Dundee tied things up at 6:38 when Kevin Dufour’s effort was saved initially by Owen and took a cruel bounce off a Giant and into the net.

The Stars took the lead at 13:09 when Matthew Carter found time and space to pick his spot in the top corner of the Belfast net.

Giants Fight Back

Belfast pulled themselves level at 22:58 thanks to hard work in the corner by Liam Reddox and it was his rebound that was hammered home by Bobby Farnham.

The Giants regained the lead at 33:53 thanks to a great one-timer from Pat Mullen, assisted by Brian Ward and Liam Reddox.

However the Stars equalised just before the end of the period when Colton Kroeker scored from close range on the powerplay at 38:55.

Dundee Close Out Win

Dundee took the lead for a second time at 49:52 when Matt Marquardt fired home on the powerplay, assisted by Anthony Beauregard and Jagger Dirk.
