Beskomania is running wild again! The man who backstopped the Belfast Giants to an historic League, Cup and Conference title haul in 2018-19, whilst earning himself a host of personal accolades in the process, makes his eagerly anticipated return as a player/Assistant Coach following a spell in Austria with Villacher SV.

The 6’4” goalie from Sudbury, Ontario stands head and shoulders above many of his peers both physically, and on the stat sheet.

If a .930 save percentage and a 2.04 goals against average in 2018-19 wasn’t enough; the man they call ‘Besko’ ended his debut season in Belfast with an impressive haul of individual awards including Belfast Giants Most Valuable Player, EIHL Player of the Year, EIHL Netminder of the Year, Continental Cup Best Goaltender, a November 2018 nod for EIHL Player of the Week, and a spot on the EIHL First All-Star team. And breathe.

Prior to his arrival in Belfast, Beskorowany is best known for his spell in Germany’s highly competitive DEL with Dusseldorfer EG and Nurnberg Ice Tigers, where he added yet another Goaltender of the Year award (2014-15) to the shiny stuff on his shelves at home.

The 2008 NHL second round draft pick (Dallas Stars) has a CV also boasting 65 games played in the AHL and 90 in the ECHL, along with a 2019-20 season spent in Slovakia where he earned the award for Most Wins for a Goalie with HC Banska Bystrica.

Beskorowany returns to Belfast with unfinished business, setting his sights on an EIHL Playoff Championship to complete a clean sweep of domestic silverware.
