Biography
27-year-old winger Jordan Boucher arrives in Belfast from the DEL’s Grizzlys Wolfsburg, bringing an edge to the Giants’ lineup, with his gritty two-way game. The Montreal man has his eyes fixed on his first Championship, and believes Belfast is the place to win.
Prior to his time in Germany, Boucher spent two seasons in Sweden with Orebro HK. He contributed 10 goals and 23 assists across 92 games in the SHL: a league known for its high level of skill.
In 2017-18, Boucher played alongside close friend and former Belfast Giant Kyle Baun in the AHL. This past summer, Baun shared stories of his time in Teal with his former Laval Rocket teammate, a conversation which played a large role in Boucher’s decision to put pen to paper for Adam Keefe’s men.
Boucher’s college career was spent with NCAA D1 side Clarkson, a team that is no stranger to Belfast thanks to the Friendship Four tournament. In his four seasons with the Golden Knights, Boucher notched a total of 68 points (27 goals, 41 assists) in 107 games played.
Unfortunately, by the time Clarkson made the trip across the Atlantic, Boucher had graduated, signing initially with the AHL’s Binghampton Senators. However, much like Kyle Baun, his college teammates spoke highly of their experience in Belfast; making the decision for Boucher to join the Giants an easy one.
