Todd Kelman asked me to say hi to you guys so here I am and hopefully you're all having a good summer and not missing your hockey too much although I am sure you probably are having withdrawal by now.

I cant wait to get over to Belfast, start skating with the team and get going for what I hope and I am sure is going to be a great year for the Giants. I was looking at my options before signing for you guys but to be honest, I spoke to Ed Courtenay for the first time while I was on holiday in Portugal and at the end of my first conversation with him my mind was made up... Belfast was where I was going to sign.

I'm also really looking forward to playing with the guys who are back as they are all great players and from what Marc Levers has told me they are all great guys too. I've played against the Giants so many times and every team loves coming on the road to Belfast, as do a lot of the fans. From what I have seen, the city is awesome, the people seem so friendly and the Giants fans have always been amazing to play in front of and they make the Odyssey such a great place to play.

All of this added to my decision but the biggest reason I wanted to come to Belfast was because I think we will have a great shot at winning a championship. Ed Courtenay has put together two great teams and I can't see why this one won't be as good or better!

Hopefully I'll get over there at least once before the season to get settled in and I might take a weekend break in the next month or so just to show my fiance the city.

Can't wait to see you all in September. Have a great summer...
