Strange North Americans & The snore artist???
Posted: Thursday 22nd November 2007

SOMEONE on our bus is snoring so badly that I can't sleep. I think it's Pete Campbell, but I'm not sure. It's very rude, keeping me awake while he is asleep in his bunk on this all night journey back to the ferry terminal to catch a 5am boat back to Belfast. Anyway, I thought I'd use this wasted sleeping time to check-in with all you out there and let you know how things have been going with me and my teammates

After a shaky start to the season (I'm trying to be diplomatic, Todd's been teaching me how to do it.) we really seem to have things back on track. I have to admit, it feels really good to be winning again, and with the talent we have in the team, it's no less than we deserve. The new guys have really given all of us a boost as well, and once we've got all the injuries cleared up I'm sure we'll keep going from strength to strength.

I must say my favourite new addition to the line-up is Stevie. Bringing him in means one extra Brit on the team, and I'm hoping he'll help fight against the strange ways of the North Americans. They listen to terrible music and call football soccer. And that's not all, they keep calling trousers pants. You have no idea how embarrassing it is when you're out somewhere and they keep asking to borrow your pants. There is so much for these guys to learn, it's a good thing I'm around to run their show.

Getting back to hockey, we've got a really tough schedule ahead of us in the run-up to Christmas. Although I'm really looking forwards to the double-header matches in Edinburgh, away matches are fantastic when we've got good travelling support. Plus, all the fans can get all their Christmas shopping done in the one go and save the hassle of rushing about on Christmas Eve.

The Snore-Artist, who now I am not sure who it is because I think I saw Pete walk by me a minute ago has temporarily stopped, so I think I'll finish off here and see if I can fall asleep before he starts up again. See you next time..
