Hello to all you Giants fans out there
Posted: Tuesday 24th July 2007

It's that time year again to kick off another exciting season to keep you on the edge off your seats. Its Jamo here to give you a little insight on how the boys are doing and how training is going for the weekends games. Well were should I start from, the 2 training sessions a day and the gym on top off that? I would say that's good way get ready for the opener this weekend.

We started off last week with a training camp in Dundalk, which I feel has helped my team mates and also myself. It was a good chance to get to know one another and bond as a team. From what I've seen so far I think Ed put together a great team that will be right up there challenging for the title. The 2 exhibition games against Huddinge were good for the team to get some match practice under our belt before the weekend and was also a good chance for the fans to see the new guys in action.

Those Swedish guys were pretty quick but played scared. They didn't like the rough stuff but they were playing dirty which didn't sit too well with our team. It's got to be a joke with how many of us were in and out of the penalty box so let's hope the elite league refs are not as sympathetic to the teams that complain about taking a few hits.

Well the training has been good and the team looks like it's starting to gel. The boys are showing their true colours on the ice and the dressing room. You always have good craic playing on any hockey team and I'm sure this season will be fun as always. Hopefully this one will be one to remember.

The meet and greet was a good day for the fans to meet the new team and meet their favourite players from last season. The guys had a good time as well and had even more fun making our first appearance on GTV. I like that idea, it looks pretty good and I think the fans will love it.

I started teaching my room mate Trevor Johnson how to drive and he's absolutely awful at it. I will definitely have to show this guy a few things. Watching the new guys try get to terms with the road layout has been fun. I thought I should show some of the boys around, show them where the hotspots are in town and what restaurant to take their families to.

I guess the first couple weeks are like merry go round, busy 24/7 trying to get stuff sorted for just about everything. But so far everyone seems to like what they have seen especially the support from are fans and I hope everyone will be there cheering us on at the weekend for our first game. I'm ready, and the team is ready, for another exciting season so it's out from me and see you all Saturday where we will do the talking on the ice.
