The Stena Line Belfast Giants are pleased to announce the signing of American Defenceman, Chad Langlais. Langlais, 26, arrives in Belfast on Tuesday morning and is expected to go straight into the Giants lineup for Graeme Walton’s Testimonial on Tuesday and Wednesday’s Challenge Cup Semi Final 1st Leg in Nottingham.
Speaking exclusively to belfastgiants.com before stepping on a plane bound for Belfast, Langlais commented, “I’m excited to be joining a winning organisation like the Giants and am excited to be part of a team that is competing for all possible trophies.”
Giants’ Coach Doug Christiansen had this to say on the announcement of his signing of Langlais, “The serious injuries to both Sam Roberts and Will Colbert have left us very short in numbers of defencemen. There is no doubt that bringing in a player like Chad helps us as he is a player who is creative with the puck and can help on the powerplay. Having played at Michigan, he knows what it takes to win and I am looking forward to bringing him to Belfast.”
