Vipers bounced back well from their loss in Nottingham on Saturday night to post the first EIHL shutout of the season. Goaltender Michel Robinson was in outstanding form as he saved all 35 Giants shots.

At the other end Vipers managed a goal in each of the first two periods from Matus Petricko and Ben Campbell. Giants outshot their hosts by 14-3 in the final period but could find no through, therefore Vipers”” impressive start to the season continues.

The only goal of the opening session was scored at 9.08 on the powerplay as Petricko hit the net from feeds by Mark Gouett and Matic Kralj but it took until 36.50 for the home side to double their advantage as Campbell shot and scored with a helping hand from Kralj and Mike Berry.

Try as they might the Giants could find no way past the impressive Robinson and at the final buzzer it was Vipers celebrating another two points and seven points from their opening four home league games.
