Giants netminder Stephen Murphy has been having a superb season so far for the Belfast outfit and is currently top of the Elite League goalie stats table with an impressive save percentage of 92.2%. But according to Murphy, those stats are not important as he approcahes the toughest weekend of the season so far.
“I’d trade those stats ten times out of ten for two wins this weekend,” said Murphy “All I want to do is give the team a chance of winning and make sure that when they need me to make the save, I am there to do it.”
“This weekend is massive for the organisation. These games against Coventry and Nottingham will be a battle, but we are in good form right now and if we play like we can and have been recently then there is no reason why we cannot come out on top come Sunday night.”
Tickets for Saturday night’s match up against the Coventry Blaze can be purchased from the Odyssey Arena Box Office on (028) 9073 9074 or via Ticketmaster by clicking here
