Belfast Giant mascot Finn McCool spent his Bank Holiday Monday in the grounds of Stormont castle meeting children for photographs and high fives while Giants netminder Stephen Murphy coached over 50 children as they played ice hockey on the Giants synthetic icepad, the Ice Stada.
“It’s great being able to give more children the opportunity to try our sport” explained Murphy. “We have had the dream for some time to take our sport out to more children right across the Northern Ireland and the Ice Stada lets us do that.
Both Finn and Murff agreed that they had a brilliant day, whch was great fun for everyone.
