The Stena Line Belfast Giants will be without James Hutchinson again this weekend. Hutchinson has started to skate with the team but will not play this weekend. The Giants will also be without Benoit Doucet who is out for the season. Doucet will be having surgery on Friday to fix his damaged knee ligaments.
Doug Christiansen commented on the injuries: “Hutchinson is showing progress. He will miss the weekend but he might be back this month. The medical staff will evaluate him on Friday and give an updated diagnosis.
Doucet will be receiving his knee surgery on Friday and I am sure our fans will send him their best wishes. He is being treated by one of the top knee surgeons in Northern Ireland. He has a long recovery ahead of him but the first step is the operation on Friday. As an organization, we will do our best to ensure the quickest recovery possible.”
