The Stena Line Belfast Giants returned to the Odyssey Arena ice on Monday morning, following their spectacular 3-0 win over the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday Night. The team are preparing for their clash with the Fife Flyers on Tuesday Night, Face-off 7.30pm which is expected to attract A boisterous crowd to the Odyssey Arena for this Elite League & Challenge Cup clash with the Halloween/Half-Term Holidays in full swing in Northern Ireland!

Tuesday sees the Scottish team visit Belfast for the first time in the 2012/13 Elite League season, however this is not the first meeting of the two teams this season, following the Giants hard earned 3-1 win in Scotland in September. That night, the Belfast Giants goals came from Defenceman Will Colbert & Forwards Andrew Fournier & Daymen Rycroft with Rycroft assisting the first two goals in a Man of the Match performance.

The Giants, defending Elite League Champions, will take to the ice on Tuesday night knowing that a win could see the team regain top spot in the Elite League with the Giants currently trailing the Nottingham Panthers & the Sheffield Steelers by a single point. Tuesday night’s game will also count towards the Challenge Cup Standings with a Giants win moving them into second place in Challenge Cup Group A, only one point behind the Braehead Clan with three games in hand.

With Fife currently lying in second place in Challenge Cup Group A, Tuesday night’s clash at the Odyssey Arena is sure to provide fireworks as both teams battle it out for a spot in the knockout rounds of the Cup.

Good seats for Tuesday’s game are still available, click here to purchase online or call the Odyssey Arena Box Office on (028) 9073 9074.
